On 23 Dec 1865 when Isabelle Ellen was 18, she first married Dr. William Benton Holmes.

	i.	James A.. Born on 23 Feb 1866 in indiana. James A. died in Texas aft 1931; he was 64. On 30 Jul 1893/jul 31 1892 when James A. was 27, he married Lota Graham “Lottie” Bacchus. Born in 1873 in Arkansas. Lota Graham “Lottie” died in Harris County, Texas, on 3 May 1952; she was 79.
	ii.	Louise E.. Born on 14 May 1867 in Indiana. Louise E. died in Indiana on 23 Sep 1877; she was 10.
	iii.	William A.. Born on 24 Mar 1871 in Indiana. William A. died aft 1931; he was 59. On 6 Sep 1899 when William A. was 28, he married Dell D. Roberts. Born in 1876.
	iv.	Samuel Marion. Born on 20 Aug 1877/sep 20 1882 in Indiana. Samuel Marion died aft 1931; he was 53. In 1895 when Samuel Marion was 17, he first married Lizzie Gettis. Born in Feb 1875 in Indiana. Lizzie died bef 1930; she was 54. On 2 Jul 1919 when Samuel Marion was 41, he second married Blanche Clyde. Born in 1894 in Illinois. Blanche died bef 1930; she was 36.

On 8 Apr 1879 when James Monroe was 27, he married Julia E. Hay. Julia E. died on 18 Feb 1914.
