Elizabeth M. “Lizzie”
1863 – 1925
Elizabeth M. “Lizzie” Ashby was born in Concord, Tippecanoe, Indiana in the fall of 1863. At age twenty, she married her first cousin Grant Ashby. A photo of Grant, Lizzie, and their children is shown below.
Moving West
Grant and Lizzie moved from Iowa to Bourbon County, Kansas. Later, the family moved to near Holly, Colorado, leaving Sadie Ella behind in Kansas where she had married. In the early 1920’s the family made their last big move, heading west to California without Grant who had died while living in Colorado.
Lizzie died in 1925 in Los Angeles County, California.
