(Cox) Peelle, was born in Indiana in 1822.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\"><span id=\"u54994-6\">Marriage<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\"><span id=\"u54994-6\">Passco married Martha Johnson in 1845 in Wayne County, Indiana.&nbsp; They settled in R<\/span><span id=\"u54994-6\">andolph County, Indiana, where they owned 159 1\/2 acres due west of Lynn and northeast of Bloomingsport.&nbsp; School No. 8 sat on the other 1\/2 acre of the section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">The Children<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Martha gave birth to 8 children:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li>Rachel married Abner Wiley Benson in 1874.&nbsp; They lived in Randolph County, Indiana. Their daughter Lu corresponded with her cousin Nellie Peelle.&nbsp; Unlike Nellie, Lu never married.<\/li>\n<li>Carolina died of scarlet fever before her third birthday.<\/li>\n<li>Evaline married John A. Farmer in Randolph County, Indiana in 1870.&nbsp; They moved to Kansas and Evaline resided in Bourbon County for the last 33 years of her life.&nbsp; They had a son that was missing at the end of the Spanish-American War. Their other children never married.<\/li>\n<li>Elzena &#8220;Jennie&#8221; married William T. Lewis in 1873.&nbsp; She died when her youngest child was only two years old.&nbsp; W. T. Lewis raised their four living children (2 died young).&nbsp; He never remarried.<\/li>\n<li>William Johnson<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Sarah Ann &#8220;Sally&#8221; married Christopher C. Longnecker.&nbsp; They raised their 8 children in&nbsp; Randolph County, Indiana.&nbsp; Sally lived to the ripe old age of 91.<\/li>\n<li>Emmaline D. &#8220;Lillie&#8221; moved with her parents to Kansas.&nbsp; In 1881, she married Alpheus &#8220;Alf&#8221; Potter.&nbsp; They lived in Bourbon County, Kansas near Mapleton.<\/li>\n<li>Mossie Lea moved with her parents to Bourbon County, Kansas.&nbsp; In 1887, she married Alvin &#8220;Ed&#8221; Wilkie in Johnson&nbsp; County, Kansas.&nbsp; They lived in Fort Scott, Kansas and Ed worked on the railroad.&nbsp; Mossie died at 39.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">Move to Kansas<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">In&nbsp; 1879, Passco and Martha moved to near Hiattville in Bourbon County, Kansas.&nbsp; Three of their younger children moved to Kansas; however, the older girls were married and stayed behind in Indiana.&nbsp;&nbsp; It is unclear why the family moved to Kansas; however, the property that they purchased north of Hiattville and the town of Hiattville both had ties to Randolph County, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">After a few years living north of Hiattville near the Schofield School, Passco, Martha, and William J. moved into Hiattville, where they owned several properties.&nbsp; Then, in the mid-1890s, they all moved west of Hiattville to the house that sat on what became the Davis property.&nbsp; They lived there until selling for nothing and moving back to their original home north of Hiattville.&nbsp; By this time, the family consisted of Martha, Passco, William J., William J.&#8217;s wife Matilda, and William J. and Matilda&#8217;s three children.&nbsp; They did not remain at their old home long as they soon purchased &#8220;The Homeplace&#8221; southeast of Hiattville.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Passco passed away in 1908.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p id=\"u71033-4\" class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p id=\"u71033-12\" class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\" style=\"padding-top: 6px;
