Revolutionary War.&nbsp; Based on records, he was born in Dublin, Ireland about 1753.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span id=\"u5938\">Records show a baptism for a Lawrence Conner in Dublin in 1752.&nbsp; It is not known if this is the same person.&nbsp; Likewise, a Patrick Conner was in the same places as Lawrence on multiple occasions, but it is not known if he was in anyway related to Lawrence.<\/span><span id=\"u5938-2\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">Immigration &amp; Servitude<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Lawrence immigrated to America about 1773&nbsp; arriving at Philadelphia on the ship the <em>Fanny<\/em>.&nbsp; He entered into a four year agreement as an indentured servant to Cyrus Copper of Alexandria, Virginia. It is assumed that he made this agreement to pay for his passage to the Colonies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The following year he enlisted (or was forced to enlist) in the Shawnee Expeditoin, a group that fought the Indians, who had started attacking the Europeans that were moving ever westward.&nbsp; Within&nbsp; two years, he took up arms in the Revolution. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/itsallinthesynapse.net\/Family_History\/revolutionarywar\/#ConnerLawrence\">Read more&nbsp; about his military service. . .<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">Marriage<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Around age 30, he married Margaret Blane in Botecourt, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">Moving to Kentucky<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Lawrence received two tracts of 200 acres each in Kentucky for his military service.&nbsp; He and his family eventually settled&nbsp; in Kentucky near Indian Creek.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">The Children<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Lawrence and Margaret are believed to be the parents of 11 children:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li>Alexander<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Mary Blane married Mr. Hatcher.<\/li>\n<li>Elizabeth married Mr. Wilson.<\/li>\n<li>Esther<\/li>\n<li>Joseph Blane served in the War of 1812.&nbsp; Soon after, he married Mary Taylor.<\/li>\n<li>James Lawrence<\/li>\n<li>Cornelius Mcquire became a large landowner in Clinton County, Kentucky.&nbsp; He purchased a large farm on the middle fork of Indian Creek.&nbsp; Then in 1825, his father deeded him a 200 acre farm, which Cornelius agreed to lease back to his father for one ear of corn per year.<\/li>\n<li>Alice<\/li>\n<li>Jane<\/li>\n<li>Margaret married Mr. Tallent.<\/li>\n<li>Sarah married Mr. Martin.<\/li>\n<li>Nancy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Additional research is needed to confirm these children and DNA matches to a subset of them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Lawrence died in 1826 in Cumberland County, Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\" style=\"padding-top: 19px;
