Additionally, he used the name Portwood and Ann&#8217;s children used the McMenomy name.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-8 col-sm-6 col-xs-12 col-lg-8\" style=\"padding: 0% 1.5% 0% 3%;\">\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p id=\"u12050-10\" class=\"\"><strong><span id=\"u12050-8\">Woodson Portwood<\/span><\/strong><span id=\"u12050-9\">, son of Simpson and Anna (Lamb) Portwood,&nbsp; was born in 1824 in Kentucky.<\/span><span id=\"u12050-9\">Woodson moved with his parents as they made their way westward.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\"><span id=\"u12050-9\">Marriage #1<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\"><span id=\"u12050-9\">He married Martha McCammon in 1843.&nbsp; They became the parents of six children: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li><span id=\"u12050-9\">Charles (Simpson) married Mary Secrest.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"u12050-9\">Hugh married&nbsp; Emma Conner.&nbsp; After she died, he married Margaret Conner.&nbsp; They lived in Bourbon County, Kansas.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"u12050-9\">Matilda Elizabeth died young.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"u12050-9\">Lydia Ellen married Thomas J. Endecott.<\/span><span id=\"u12050-9\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Ann died as a child.<\/li>\n<li><span id=\"u12050-9\">Mary Isabella<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span><\/span><span id=\"u12050-9\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span id=\"u12050-12\">Martha died&nbsp; in Illinois within months of Mary Isabella&#8217;s birth.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\">Marriage #2<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">In January 1854, Woodson remarried to Delania Hoag\/Hogue. They had one son and possibly two.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li><span id=\"u12050-9\">George W. F. lived most of his life in Illinois although he was with Woodson in Kansas for a short time. First he married Lucinda E.
