Lulu died of tuberculosis.&nbsp; Even before she died, she was away from the family multiple times as she struggled with mental health.&nbsp; Jake was over 50 when he remarried to Minnie Louisa Carolina Kutzner<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span>, who was nearly twenty years his junior.&nbsp; They had three children. She lost three children at the time of birth or shortly after, including a son that died two days before she did. This one is complicated as I descend from both of his wives. They had four children.&nbsp; Herman remarried in 1885 to Wilhelmina &#8220;Minnie&#8221; Schmidt <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span>.&nbsp; They had 10 children, but 4 died young. The sad part of this story is that although some of the half-siblings knew each other, the connection seems to have stopped there.&nbsp; Thus, my mother-in-law did not even know that she had half-aunts or half-cousins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-6 col-sm-6 col-xs-12 color-2-text-contrast color2-background-color color3-border-color\" style=\"border-style: solid; border-width: 2px;\">\n<h3 class=\"color-3-text-contrast color3-background-color\" style=\"text-align: center; padding: 3px;\">Sarah C.
