On 28 Sep 1881 when Ida May was 19, she married John W. Golden in Bourbon Co, KS. Born on 28 Oct 1855 in Nauvoo, Illionis. John W. died in Fort Scott, Kansas, on 10 Feb 1934; he was 78. Buried in Clarksburg Cemetery.

They had the following children:
