2. James Lewis Ellis (Elless). Born on 4 May 1805 in Shelbyville, Shelby Co, KY. James Lewis died in Fillmore, Minnesota, on 14 Jun 1887; he was 82. Buried in Watson Creek Cemetery, Preston, Fillmore, MN.

On 20 Apr 1826 when James Lewis was 20, he first married Matilda Ann Harris in Ripley Co, IN. Born in 1807 in KY. Matilda Ann died aft 1850; she was 43.
