William Willett was born in 1786 in England. Nothing is known of his parents or siblings.
Marriage
While in England, he met and married Harriett Holden in Sussex County. They had eight children before immigrating to Canada in 1834. They had one more child after their arrival. Their children include:
- William married Margaret Lorimer and Anne Sexton in Australia. He returned to Canada. At the time of his death at age 90, he was listed as a gentleman.

William died in Blenheim Twp, Oxford, Ontario, Canada in 1862.
