Matilda Jury was born in 1865 in Ontario, Canada to John Charles Jury Sr. and Matilda White. She moved with her father to the United States, living in Kansas, Missouri, and Michigan.
Marriage
In 1892, Matilda married William J. Peelle at Hiattville, Kansas. After William J. died, Matilda continued to share a home with his mother until his mother died the following year.
Matilda remained in the family home until her daughter Nellie and her husband Joe McCracken moved into the home. She then lived in a house on the north side of Farlington and lived in Wichita with her daughter Lydia.
In her later years, Matilda joined with the Seventh Day Adventist.
