Eleanor “Ellen” Willett was born about 1817 in Sussex, England. She was the daughter of William Willett and Harriett Holden.
Immigration
Eleanor was about 18 years of age when the family immigrated to Canada. She married William Jury soon after their arrival. By the time her children John, William, and Ellen decide to immigrate to the United States, Eleanor had been a widow for almost 20 years. Therefore, she immigrated with them, leaving her daughter Ann, who had married Thomas Carr, behind.
In the U.S., Eleanor moved where her sons moved. Thus, she lived in Kansas, Missouri, and Michigan. Eleanor died in Michigan in 1883.
