Stetler
Christian
1776 – 1823
Christian Stetler, son of Christian and Catharina (Kurtz) Stetler, was born a hop, skip, and a jump from Philadelphia only a few months before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The year following his birth, his father served in the Revolutionary War.
Marriage
In 1800, Christian married Ann McGinley, daughter of John and Margaret (Hurry) McGinley. They were the parents of:

Death
Ann died when she was only 35 years of age and Christian followed only three years later. Several of their children were still quite young when they lost their parents.
