William
1734 – 1816
William Adams was born in 1734 in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He is the son of George Adams and assumed to be the don of Katherine Dixon, whom George had previously married.
Quaker
William is not believed to have been born into the Quaker faith. However, he was received into the Quaker faith and his wife Susannah Martin was born into the Quaker faith. They were active Quakers in North Carolina where they migrated to after leaving Pennsylvania.
