Lydia Andrus was born in Vermont. Current research indicates that her parents were likely Cyrus Andrus and Aseneth(Asemeth) Calkins. Earlier research had shown possible linkage Richard Andrus and Asenath Hunington. Richard was the son of John and Grace Rood/Rude of Connecticut origin. That particular Hunington family is also well-documented. However, this lineageis believed to be less likely. More research into Lydia’s parentage is required.
Marriage
In 1824, Lydia married Alfred Wood Crawford. They raised their family in Holmes County, Ohio.
