Unverified

After much research, it is believed that the parents of our verified ancestor Lydia Andrus are Cyrus Andrus and Aseneth (Asemeth) Calkins. However, this  relationship is not considered verified.  Therefore, this information is provided as  likely.

Cyrus Andrus was born in 1780 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Elihu Andrus and Sarah Brown.  The ancestry of his parents appears to be well researched back many generations. If proven true, many of his ancestors came to this land during the very early days of colonization.

Vermont

At some point, Cyrus moved to Vermont. He  married Aseneth(Asemeth) Calkins, a Vermont native.  They lived in Vermont for some time where they started their family. Besides farming in Vermont, Cyrus preached at the Mt. Holly Baptist Church.

Pennsylvania

Some years later,  the family  moved south ending up in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  They lived there for the remainder of their lives.
